by all means of transport

our little tricycle cart buddy (surprisingly) showed up at the trail head to pick us up from our trekking trip and drive us back into the next biggest town.

Of course, there is always the chance you will get a flat tire along the way. Lucky our little buddy was prepared with a pump and we were on our way again pretty soon. We guessed this was not the first time.

The jeepney is the main form of transport and we seem to take them often. Beth tries to back seat drive a bit... ooh, there's a good parking spot! oh, you should turn left up here...

these little kids kept following us around asking "how are you?" singing it, over and over again. they apparently can turn anything into a song. (a very american beth tradition)

Lana was in Haiti a long time ago, when she was substantially blonder. Kids followed her around, touching her hair and singing songs about it.

I'm working on a song about Tina. It's a "round", so I have to find 3 other people to jump in and overlap.

I just gotta say it: all of those modes of transport still look safer than the one you left here in K.C.

So glad to hear you're safe and okay. And still bossing drivers around. I had to park on the 23rd level of the garage this morning, all because I had no one to help me. Something tells me I mighta passed a few open spots.

I miss you, and am willing to sing it softly over and over until you return, just to prove it. I also know someone who may be able to softly mouth-breathe it for you, too. Say the word.

Most of all, though, I can't wait to see those pictures in person...they are incredibly beautiful. As are you, and Joren, with his new haircut.
