we got up at 6 am to eat baguettes, drink lao coffee and watch the hundreds of monks collect alms.
just a few straggler monks at first...
then, monk-a-rama!
all carrying their monk pots. people put in rice and other food offerings, flowers and sometimes money or laundry tokens.
plus, free matching monk suits!
monks are people, too. they even love the internets.
